Has anyone used internet cafes in Ketchikan, Juneau or Sitka? What have you experienced? I use an Apple iBook and it looks like the ship is set up for Window based computers.

I purchased an internet card in Ketchikan at a place called The Seaport Cyber Cafe. It's right across the street from the dock (I believe it's the 2nd fl., directly above a souvenir store).
It was a great deal - something like $5 for 60 minutes, and the best is that they also have cafes in Skagway and Juneau, so you will be able to finish up any unused minutes in these other ports, or refill the same card as needed.

There are Internet Cafes in the three ports mentioned in the previous post. If I have extra minutes on the card that I don't use on the cruise, I just give the card to a crewmember... I just let him/her know there is xx amount of time left. Crew can make use of even just a few minutes on a card to check or send an email.

Yes, I used the same cyber cafe that rbrighir mentions above. I purchased a card for $5.00 for 60 minutes. It can be used in all 3 ports and is rechargable. I still have 30 minutes on the card, if you want it, email me your address and I'll pop it in the mail to you.
