We sailed on the Diamond Princess, in October, 05 -- Great cruise !!!
Did a pre-Cruise in Beijing; stayed at the Sheraton - Great Wall.
We had to see some of the sights in Beijing.

On the down side:mad: ----
The Diamond Princess was just too large to get into some ports.
So, we had to dock at container ports !! Which meant that we had
long bus rides for our tours.
We would have loved to anchor in Hong Kong harbor !!!

The Sapphire Princess and the RCCL Rhapsody-Of-The Seas are both
large ships; thus, you could have the same problem.

You may want to look into a smaller ship.

Thank you for the info. I do prefer to dock VS tenders or the long rides you described. I like both princess and RCL and celebrity and will check to see what X has to offer.
