From our past experience, if you call HAL but you've booked thru a TA, HAL will tell you to call the TA re any adjustments.

I would suggest calling your TA.

Who did you book the trip through? If with HAL, you should be able to transfer the reservation to the lower priced agency. If you booked with HAL and HAL has the lower price, call HAL. If you booked with a travel agent and HAL has lowered the prices, call the TA and alert her/him to the new price and it should be able to be adjusted. If you booked with a TA and another TA has the lower price, there might not be much you can do. You can ask they would match the price, but it is their choice. I ran into this with another cruise line.

Start by calling and speaking with your travel agent. Hopefully you aren't into the penalty period and if TA doesn't lower the price you can cancel.
Do remember, the cheapest price may not be the best value. A TA that gives good personal customer service is worth alot especially if and when something goes wrong. And hopefully you havent' booked with a TA that charges miscellanias (sp) fees including cancellation fees.

If they have lowered their own price, I bet you'll be able to benefit from the reduction. Hope so.

:)

You didn't mention how soon you are leaving on the cruise. This may play into whether you will get the reduction and how much.

If it is at least 10% lower, then you might get the reduction.

SHOP credit - do you mean ship board credit? If the original booking was done with a credit card and if you are entitled to the lower price, any monies that are owed to you will be credited to your charge card.

Also remember that sometimes late fare reductions are only for New Bookings to finish selling out the ship.
