Got together with a friend who i went on the last cruise with and it turns out that she has caught the cruise bug worse than i did. We have started planning the next one for later this year and so far it looks to be one in late september, which also happens to be when my birthday is.
My question for today is, because my birthday happens to be on the second day and i will be turning 18, what would happen regarding cruise cards? Would i get the red, under 18 one when i board and then get a nice new blue one on my birthday?

Good question Sam, but no idea what they'd do. Reminds me though of the evening, close to midnight, we were at the Brisbane Casino and heard the security guy telling someone that they'd be able to go into the Casino in xx amount of minutes (can't remember how long til midnight it was) when they'd actually turned 18.
We might be cruising in September for my birthday!! Mid September though, not late. Don't have to wonder whether my card will change from Red to Blue on my birthday though :(

Which one are you looking at in september? Ours will be the leaving on the 22nd with the next day at sea being my birthday.
What ever happens with the cruise cards, i will have one of every type in my collection. An original one with the picture of the star on it, a red one and lastly a nice blue one :D

The one leaving Brisbane on the 8th September to Noumea, Lifou & Vila - my birthday would be the 2nd formal night of the cruise.

My daughter, who is 11, got a blue cruise card with the corner cut off when we were on the Sun.
