The information below was posted previously by X Lindsey X. I am wondering if anyone who has been to HMC recently or anyone going may be willing to share photos and the actual location?!

We are a group of 18 family and friends and this may be just great for us rather than reserving individual cabanas.

My concerns are that the location may be in a congested area and also that it might not have very good beach access.

If anyone can take a photo or 2 and post on the CC Board - I'd be very grateful.

Thanks, AZGal

There were people using this cabana when we were there on the 9th. You can see it when you are tendering in. It will be on your left. It's the big round-ish (I think), thatched-roof-looking building. It looked like there was a slide off the cabana.

When you get off the tender, you would go to the left. It's off by itself so you shouldn't have to worry about it being congested. I thought I'd read that the beach area was private, and I seem to remember seeing a guard-type person standing on the walkway toward the private cabana.

I'll look through my pictures to see if we took any of the grand cabana. I know I have it on video, but not sure about the other.

I think if you had a big enough group of people, it would be fun.

Sorry, no pictures but I was at HMC on Saturday and the large Cabana is to the left just past the snorkle area. The private beach for the large Cabana looks to be about 75 to 100 yards wide. There is a small water slide into the bay from the cabana, a fairly large patio area. People seemed to be having a very good time. With a group as large as yours..it might be just the solution to keeping everyone together.

This was our second visit to HMC (the other was in 04) and they have really improved the area. The Tenders are now land-based, so they are much larger and much less of a hassle.
Enjoy your cruise and HMC

Wow - thanks to all you recent cruisers for posting this information. It does sound perfect for our group. I think I will call Ship Services to see if it is available on our sailing.

AZGal and SirDavid - check your email

I don't think the Grand Cabana has a private beach. It looks the water in front of the cabana is pretty busy since it's also near the children's play area.

Sandiego1 - Thanks very much for the photos. It looks like a nice area. I did wonder if the beach area was a bit more secluded. This gives me a good idea of what to expect.

SirDavid - Since you will soon be in this Cabana, it would be great to have some interior shots as well if you don't mind too much!
