Veendam - Shopping questions

Hi all,

We leave in a few days on the Veendam visiting Key West, Belize, Santo Tomas and Costa Maya. Does anyone have an shopping recommendations as far as jewelery goes? I am looking for a simple mens ring..simple band..similar to a wedding band. Nothing expensive. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!!:eek:

When you tender to Belize City, by walking straight ahead you get into the port building with lots of shops. If you keep walking through the building & out the back end, then turn left and walk down a little "alley-walkway" you will come to a "bazaar" filled with locals and their wares. You may find something nice there.

Also, in Guatemala, in the Port Building,are local vendors - lots of silver on sale - reasonable prices and they will "haggle" with you, so you can get some very good buys.

Don't dismiss Key West. I have boughten some nice jewelry from there. I bought a plain little snake ring from there, 14k and paid well under $100 for it. Very designer style, without that kind of price.
