The port and the airport are in downtown San Diego - It's one of the nicest ports to sail from - (of course I live here ;) )

Take a cab - don't waste your time & money on a bus transfer - It is just a 5 to 10 minute ride.

When docked the bow of the ship is so close to the main waterfront road all the traffic has to detour around the ship!!!!

Here-here for San Diego, wonderful city, great port.

How far from the port is Sea world?
How much would taxi cost from the port to Sea World?
Wondering if we should book with royal Caribbean or do Sea World on our own.

It is about 6 miles from the ship to SeaWorld. Take a cab. Should be less than $15 one way. Do you really want to see that attraction? I recommend the Zoo much more highly.

Thanks for the info. The kids and hubby have always wanted to go to sea world so yes thats where we are going. I'd rather go to the zoo.

Last time we were in San Diego we did the wild life park, we should have done the zoo. The park is so spread out you really need lots of time to see it all. Next time it will be the zoo for us.

This was our easiest departure ever. Port is so accessible. You can see the airport and sea port from most of downtown!

not only is the cruise terminal a few minutes cab ride from the airport, it is even closer to the AMTRAK and Coaster RR station, so anyone coming down from LA can take the train and walk to the ship. and finally we are getting more cruise ships based here; it is a great city for a few pre-cruise or post-cruise days. :)
