Hi All
I am frantic organising things, we sail on Saturday on R711 and we just can't wait. I have some last minute questions for anyone who can help:
1 Re formal nights, do you go formal to dinner or is it after dinner?
2 Does anyone have any suggestion about how much cash to carry? I don't know what to do about visiting Vila, Noumea and Lifou. Is it better to take cash before we leave or to get cash out of the cruise card on the ship before we go ashore, is there a cost for this?
3 I have a 3 year old, if we have to go formal to dinner which is no problem for us adults, what flexibility is there for a 3 year old, let's just say we do not have a suit for him!!
Can't think of anything else at the moment, but would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help me.
Thanks all

1. You go dressed in your formal attire to dinner. As a general rule, they dont let you in if you dont.
2. Havnt been out that way yet, so i cant help you there. sorry
3. They wont mind that your 3 year old isnt wearing a suit. Its mostly for the adults anyway. Even the teens get a choice of going formal or not.

Hi FirstTimer
To try to answer your questions.
1. Formal wear is worn to dinner (and maybe pre-dinner cocktails)
2. Just take enough cash to buy whatever you need. Souvenirs, drinks, lunch maybe. Most places will accept Aussie $$. For major purchases a credit card comes in handy
3 Dont worry about the 3yo going formal. And dress code is optional. I've seen formal nights where the dress varied from "best denims" to full tux, bow tie etc.
And most importantly.
Enjoy yourself :)
