We're arriving at the port in Cristobol and want to go to the Colon 2000 shopping mall. Is it walking distance or do I need to take a taxi?

It really depends on what you need to buy at Colon 2,000 as it is the other Cruise POrt, not exactly a mall.
There are various options for shopping at the Cristobal PIer, and this saves you the need of leaving the Port. They also have folkloric and indian presentations at Cristobal. Do you have ssomething specific in mind that you need to buy?

Hi Marie,
You seem to have some knowledge of the Colon area.
I have been searching for someone who may have contact information in the Colon, Panama area.
My wife and I will be retiring soon, and want to start a retail tourist shop. We visited the Cristobal Pier on one of our trips, and have decided it to be one of our likely candidates, but we have absolutely no contact information for the manager of the pier, i.e., someone who could supply us with information about lease arrangements, availability of space, costs, relocation, etc.
Would you know the contact information for the management office of both the Cristobal Pier, and the Colon 2000 pier, or can you point me in the direction of someone who would have that information?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Where it may be physically possible to walk to Colon 2000 you would not be in a very good area. Most people who are familiar with the area would advise against it. Another thing to consider is many of the activities at both the Cristobal pier and Colon 2000 are only fully operational when a cruise ships are at the facility.
