Zuiderdam Superior Verandah #5001

Hi,

I'm breaking away from Celebrity and the Celebrity board. This New Year's I will having fun with all of you HAL pals.

I have booked the Superior Verandah Suite on Zuiderdam, number 5001. Has anyone stayed in this suite before?

I am particularly interested in the verandah forward of the cabin. Is that a private verandah, or is it a public area?

Any other information you can provide would also be appreciated.

I booked SS5002 for March ..but am wondering about the wind! I think I read that the deck in front is public.

your welcome....when is your cruise? this will be our first time on HAL also, have done Carnival and Celebrity in the past.

My father and I stayed in SS5002 last August. The deck forward is public but very seldom used. It is great for arriving and departing ports, but too windy at other times. Also, be warned that anyone can look into your cabin thru your forward window unless your curtains are closed.

SS5001 & 5002 are wheelchair accessible rooms with extra space which makes them quite comfortable. The bathroom includes a roll-in shower and a step-in bath/shower. Access to the verandah has a sloped area inside the cabin for wheelchairs.
