Westerdam Four Seating Times For Dinner

Can anyone tell us about the new dinning seating times on the Westerdam?

What was your experience, which seating did you have?

Do you feel you had enough time to enjoy dinner and your fellow dinner guests?

Any other comments about this change?

First seating is either 5:45 or 6:15 PM
Main seating is either 8:00 or 8:30 PM

I have not experienced it but some of my clients have. I'm sure Holland America has a plan to make sure that the 6:15 and 8:30 PM diners have no problem attending the shows.

We had the 8:00 seating in the Upper Dining Room. We dined leisurely and enjoyed our table companions. Usually we were finished by 9:30 which gave us an hour to spend in the casino, shops, internet room, lounges, etc. before the 10:30 show.

Therefore, it seems to me that the 8:30 diners would be finished by 10:00 and still have time to spare before the show.

We had the 8:30 pm dinner on the Rotterdam and while I didn't care to eat at that time (always had the 8:15 dinner, didn't think 15 minutes would make that much difference, but it did), we never missed a show nor were late going to it. We had a few minutes to go to the casino or have an after dinner cigarette.

We had the 6:15 seating and usually left the dining room by 8. We always felt relaxed and spent quite a bit of time chatting with our table companions. We still had plenty of time to make the 8:30 show.
