To err is human ... to really foul things up takes a computer.
That's what happened in this case.
That ... or ... the idiot running the computer did something stupid (and he did ;) ).

:)
This "err" turned out to be a fine topic.
Once I was typing away on one of these threads, hit some button that just jumped onto my keyboard from somewhere and ended up on the World Ocean & Cruise website.
Husband just laughed and said - only you could do that!

:D Now this is funny. That we should all see the word "error" as the subject line and click on it. What does that say about us?
And I'll just bet someone will find a way to debate it. I want everyone to know that IMHO I agree:D . But that could be an err.

revneal says, "ignore this post; the silly thing's in error."
Then he tries to tell us the computer is a holy terror.
anorakanorak66 never never doubles,
while Krazy Kruisers reminds us that we have had our troubles.
Missylou is no great help, with humor you could wring out.
While hanna tells us "kids are kids," which this board sure does bring out.
Heather, down in F-L-A, thinks someone will pick a fight,
While tomc, on his soapbox, shouts, "You're wrong and *I* am right!"

Good one Tomc. I think this thread points out that we all just needed a good laugh today. Must have been Divine Guidance that brought us here. It was all carefully planned out by Revneal. He is so sneeky.
Here's another.

LOL ... be glad it's just a personal computer. I run the "big boys" for a living ... computer operations at a large newspaper. I did a real "oopsie" last night. Queued up the wrong report for printing ... six copies ... 927 pages each. :(
Never realized it until the control clerk who was boxing it up mentioned that the print "looked funny." Here it was a system dump. :(
What a waste of paper and toner ... not to mention time. :(

And the trees .... the poor poor trees! :(
Two years ago I had my Administrative Assistant run off a copy of a letter I had written to the congregation in celebration of Easter. She ran it off, collated it (it was two pages), and prepared it for mailing in envelopes. She ran off the labels, applied the mailing imprint, and had them sorted by zip and ready to go. Just before she was to take it to the post office -- all 740 copies of it -- she brought one in and dropped it on my desk. She didn't leave, she just stood there ... glaring at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Read it" She said.
I picked it up and took a look at it. It was an article I had written several years previously about All Hallows Eve (aka Halloween).
Somehow I had managed to write the Easter letter at home, email it to myself at the office, then when I got to the office I downloaded it and -- I thought -- opened and printed it. But, somehow, I opened the WRONG file, printed it without looking at it, and then went on to other duties.
Peggy, for her part in the SNFU (boy is that a well-dubed term!), had run it off and run it through the folding machine and had stuffed 740 envelopes before taking a moment to glance at the finished product. By then it was too late. All the envelopes were already sealed. We had to just toss them.
Thank GOD we use an imprint, otherwise the loss in postage would have made the fiasco much worse than it already was (1480 pages, 740 of which Church stationary, plus 740 Church Stationary Envelopes, ink, wear and tear on the Risograph ... Peggy's time and effort (and lick-um). UUUGGGHHH!

 To Error may be human, but
To Delete is unforgiveable!
Yep! Hit the delete and lost my count down clock, and for the life of me can not figure
how to reinstall on the new boards!
Revneal, any easy suggestions?
Thanks, Ginny

Sinbad: I think you need to use [ before and after img ] instead of < . so it would look like ...............
Vicar: Revneal has learned the "error of his ways" when it comes to the puter.:D
Revneal: I am sure some in your congregation would have found the All Hallows eve newsletter to be quite humorous. But definitely not the finance committee.
