There's an interesting article in Sunday's travel section of the NY Times about the cruise lines and waste disposal in the US(California and Alaska) in particular. I don't know how to link the article but perhaps someone else will know how. You can go to NEw York Times and then go down the left hand side of the page and hit travel. Tomorrow's sections will come up and then scroll down to the artcle.

Thanks, MomofAmi and Innlady, for the "heads up" and the link to the NY Times article. Very interesting article. There's a "survey" that pops up (or did for me, anyway) when you try to access the second page, but I just went "back" and then "forward" again, and was able to read the second page, too. Thanks again.
