Havenīt stayed there yet but got for May 2005 for 145 USD per night at Hotwire.

I haven't stayed their overnite but i do know the area and did go to an catered function there.
The hotel is fairly new (2 years old?) and is in very good shape. As with most Embassy Suites the 'atrium' is the center feature and it's done quite nicely at this location.
Only downside to the hotel is that it's not in the 'touristy' area and the nearest subway is a 'medium' walk away (not terribly far, but not terribly close either). The area is especially quiet on the weekends and if staying downtown you may not get a true 'feel' for NYC.
