Looks like Carnival is making lots of changes and improvements. ;)
Expansive children's water parks, a new design style and features for the pool areas, and the creation of the Serenity adults only deck area will be part of a dramatic transformation of the open decks of Carnival Cruise Lines' eight Fantasy-class ships.
The new features are just part of Carnival's $250 million "Evolutions of Fun" program, the cruise industry's most ambitious ship refurbishment and product enhancement initiative, which focuses on the line's eight Fantasy- class vessels. These "extreme makeovers" are part of an overall initiative to upgrade all of the unique guest-pleasing features and design style of the Fantasy-class vessels in addition to providing guests with new and exciting shipboard amenities.
Does anyone think Hal will ever do this?

Forget about HAL ever doing this. I'd really like to see Carnival enforce this and make it work.

I notice it says 'new features for the pool area'. Weren't we just hearing about cabanas on the Lido deck of the Eurodam. There certainly is a change to a new design for the Eurodam Lido pool area on the HAL website from the old deck plans on the other ships that show all tables on either side of the pool.

Disney enforces their adults area, but I seriously doubt Carnival will. When Carnival ships have 850+ kids on board....well, you do the math:rolleyes: !
Never, ever saw any effort made to reign in unruly kids on Carnival, so enforcing an adults only area...ain't gonna happen.

Carnival has opened its previous adult deck(top optional) to everyone. There was talk of taking this space and making it adult only and keeping the lil' darlings away from it. They do not have pools up there.

Wish HAL would do something like that.

They'd better ... or I have a feeling a lot of HAL cruisers may find themselves heading out Carnival way.
Sure would solve a lot of problems re ships overrun with kids.

It looks like Carnival recognizes the fact that many pax want to get away from the kiddies.
The aft pool on Hal is supposed to be for adults but they don't seem to enforce it.

I'm waiting to see how long it takes one of the US-based cruise lines to turn one or more of their ships into 18+ ships, like P&O's Arcadia. If there are no children allowed on board in the first place, there aren't really any enforcement issues to be had.

It is soooo rare when kiddies both us at Aft Pool. I can count on less than five fingers the times we had to speak with someone about bothersome kids at Aft Pool...... and we have spent literally months and months of our lives sitting out there.

One of my cruises, the kids were so bad at the aft pool one day everyone was complaining. Its not the fact that they were there, or were splashing, I can tolerate that, but it was the constant screaming they were doing. That was when they were with their fathers, after a few hours, the mothers came and quieted the little darlings down.
I'd vote for these areas for the rules to be enforced. I love the idea of an adults only deck, but would like to see these rules enforced.
