I would be in interested in seeing a room service menu specifically for the Noordam. Does anyone have a copy of it? Or does anyone know of some of the food offered on the menu? Thanks!

Remember you have paid for the food. If the average person orders room service they won't need extra appertizers at dinner. I assume one reason for the "free room service".
Does anyone know if there is anyway to get the daily breakfast menu brought to your room? You know the chefs have it the day before.
We are paying for a veranda on an upcoming trip and the only time we will use it really is for breakfast and very early at 6:00-6:30am. since this cruise is very port intensive we will be eating lunch off the ship except for the two sea days. While my Dh likes the standard eggs & bacon, I really love the specials such as banana pancakes, blueberry waffles etc. Is there anyway to get this or unlikely since we will need to order the night before and be getting off the ship around 8:00am each morning when we dock?
Another question that I have is whether anyone has ever ordered a box lunch to take off the ship, or just a few sandwiches? I wouldn't make a habit of it (since like to try new things off the ship too), but there is one day planned (a Sunday too) where we are taking a ships tour. It is odd hours and does not include food (something like 10:00am - 3:30pm), and we want to walk around for an hour before getting back on the ship. That is one day where it would be ideal to take sandwiches and bottled water...but again would need this delivered at 6:30am along with breakfast... (It looks like the only 24 hour is the triple club but that steak sandwich sounds better to me as well as the chicken)

Hello all...does anyone know if the room service menu is the same on the Zuiderdam or the Westerdam? We are considering changing our cruise for 2008 to one of these ships and that fantastic room serice menu would be the part that pushes me over! Its like normal food! WOW!

In addition to the room service menu you can order from the Vista Dining Room menu as well for dinner. They use these great plate warmers to keep everything hot. The dinner menu for the next day was delivered to my stateroom the night before. As far as breakfast goes they leave you a menu that you hang on your door the night before and you can write whatever you want in on the bottom. They are eager to please, just ask.

On every ship we've been on the steward puts a breakfast order on the bed - similar to those you would find in hotels. It does not vary from day to day and does not offer the breakfast specials - just the usual things such as fruit, eggs, bakery items, cereal etc. No pancakes or waffles. I suppose you could ask about the specials. They can deliver fairly early - certainly as early as 6. I don't know about the box lunches, sorry.

Is it the same for all rooms -- including non-balcony ones (for those of us who fear falling)? would love something other than chocolate chip cookies with my bedtime hot chocolate.

In my lowly inside cabin I have the same Room Service menu and the same breakfast card as anyone in the Penthouse. :) I just don't eat that same food in as elegant surroundings. :(
Typically I don't order Room Serivce, preferring to head out to the Lido for breakfast (and dinner in the dining room is a must). But on that last morning I do order breakfast to my room. It's the last civilized luxury before they drag me kicking and screaming off the ship. I revel in it. :D

This is fantastic. Just went over the details with my dh and I think we have decided to cancel our Crown Princess cruise we booked for 2008 and Book the HAL Zuiderdam on Mary 1, 2008! Thanks for the help. The rooms are so much bigger too! YIPEE!!
