Hi All,
We arrived in Tulsa at 9:05 Saturday after spending 34 days aboard the RRRottterdamm, as the visiting captain Von Donselar pronounces it. Captain Fred Everson will be back on in August.
We had our renewal of vows on July 4th. HAL and Captain Von Donselar did a great job.
Ruth and i concur on better than 90% of the voyage, but of course we all have our own perceptions. Some of mine are slanted, some good, some funny, some cynical. Especially after that "listing" (to the left) experience we had while on the Lido on the eastbound leg.
We (Ruth and I) had a solitary experience on Mousa Island in the Shetlands. We literally escorted eachother over some rough terrain and had time for good conversation.
I will be posting my perceptions of this month's adventures as I did last year, but I'm too brain-dead to think tonight.
Half of me wanted to come home and the cruising-addicted half wanted to stay aboard. I'll need time to even go into cruise withdrawal, but yes, we're booked on the Zaandam for the New Years cruise.
Been home 24 hours and haven't touched the luggage.
I'll start to post tomorrow or the next day. I've missed communicating with you all.

GN...I really look forward to your review of the 34-day Rotterdam cruise and how you may differ from Ruth's posts. It's tough to get back in the swing of things after a long voyage so take your time posting.

I have been looking forward to hearing from you :). Welcome Home!

Any thoughts where you are cruising next summer. I may be looking for something in June :). I would love to cruise with some CC'ers.

Welcome home, granny. Glad to see that you arrived safely.
I, too, will be looking forward to your report on the cruise. I've saaid for years that although we may be on the same ship at the same time we all take different cruises.

RuthC and I took vastly different cruises on the same ship. Both very enjoyable and we met about once a day to compare and contrast. That's why I seldom, if ever, read reviews; they are written from one person's legitimate viewpoint and YMMV. I know mine sure does.
