 Has the Amsterdam gone through her "Signature of Excellence" make over?
The HAL site was down this Sat. & Sunday for "Updates". Everything encluding prices (#199 still $14.00USD)seemed to be the same. One thing that I did notice, is that they are now saying the "Signature of Excellence" will be completed by the end of 2006 NOT 2005 as first posted.
Does any know about the Amsterdam and her "SOE":D
Thanking you in advance.

:)
Wonder why it is going to take nearly an extra year to complete the SOE on all the ships?

Don't know about the higher category cabins, but we were in a category K, and the mattress was definitely not what I would consider "plush" (unless one compared it to sleeping on the bare deck). Never having cruised before, I couldn't compare the bedding or bath linens - the ones we had were quite nice. The other upgrades were obviously in place: bathrobes, fruit basket, lighted makeup mirror, etc. If the hair dryer is an upgrade, I'd hate to see what they provided before! We ate dinner in the Lido twice; one night we had tableside service, the other we did not. Even a stiff mattress didn't detract from our overall enjoyment - we had a wonderful time and we are totally hooked on cruising!

The "S" category had been completed with new bedding, mattresses, etc. but friends in Cat. K -- inside -- thought their rooms seemed about the same.
This was in June to Alaska.
