I am SO Excited we are Finally going to have our FIRST S Suite

Hi Everyone, I just got off the phone with our TA. She was as surprised as I was, we were booked on an inside cabin for the Ryndam in November when we booked the end of May all the Suites and A and B Cat. were booked. Just Friday she called to see if anything was open and of course there still was nothing so they put us on a wait list for an S or an A or B. She just got the call that Suite S-043 just opened up and we grabbed it since the price seemed really good and we will be celebrating my 50th B-Day.
This cruise will be really different it will be our first S Class Ship (up till now we have only been on the 2 Vista class ships) and our first S Suite:D

You are going to love the suite and not want to leave! Have a wonderful time! After our last cruise in May we also are looking into another cruise next fall maybe to the Panama Canal. I will keep you posted. I would love any advice on intineraries etc. that anyone has to offer. Thanks.

Thank you, we are Really Excited. You are all so right, it is going to be really hard to stay in a lessor cabin. We are already thinking we will upgrade to at least the SS on the Westerdam instead of the A Aft cabin we currently have booked.
What was really strange is that from the end of May till yesterday HAL claimed there were no S Suites or Verandahs available. Then suddenly yesterday afternoon numerous cabins opened up including the Pent House Suite. Not sure why they were all being held. When my TA called she thought just the one Suite had opened up since we were on the wait list. I guess I will now be asking lot of questions about S Suites. I would like to see some good pictures, not just the bedroom but the verandah and the bathroom and dressing area.

PENTHOUSE? Did you say PENTHOUSE? Don't get me started...again! I loved that penthouse on the "O". I wish I could afford it ALL the time! Talk about a bigger bathroom! But, I must say I am looking forward to a suite on our next cruise. Just won't be the same though!

Bunny, Why don't you join us, it will be a nice warm up before the winter really sets in, in Wisconsin. The Penthouse was just a bit more than I wanted to spend even if I will be turning 50 in November. I just told my TA this morning to not be surprised if in the next few weeks we don't upgrade ourselves to a S on the Westerdam in March.

After reading this thread I am soooo tempted to upgrade to an S..we are booked in a SS now on the Zuiderdam in March..
my husband thinks I only booked an outside ocean view, I am going to surprise him..

go for the S we had one in may and loved it now can't go with anything less (oh well could if I had to) hubby loved it and he is a good one, doesn't ask how much and I don't tell...works the same in casino. Am I lucky or what? well usually not in the casino. have a nice day and good morning.

We booked our first cruise on the Ryndam to Alaska. (Southbound Seward to Vancouver, 8-27-04 ). As this was to be a first cruise, we booked cabin S033. its only money and in actuality, how many times in our lifetime will we be going to Alaska?

Laffnvegas, do a Google seach on "Ryndam". You will find many trip reviews along with numerous pictures of passengers in the "S" suites.
