We have booked two cabins on the Veendam and we are trying to get connecting rooms B category. Can anyone tell me if the walls that separate the two balconies can be opened and so that we can share one large balcony?
Thank you for your help.

Your steward can open the door which connects the two balconies so that you can pass back and forth, but the divider does not come down.
Many people do not like the door left open as it bangs all the time in the wind when the ship is moving and that noise could be very disturbing to you and to others in cabins near yours.

:)
On one of the ships a while back, 2 couples wanted the door left open between their baclconies so their tied it back somehow.

We cruised last Oct with my parents on the Veendam and had adjoining B class cabins with balconies - there was no door between the balconies that could be opened.
However, the balcony was big enough for all four of us to sit out on it by bringing out a stool from the room.
Not sure if this is true of all balcony cabins, since some other posters seem to disagree...

Can you remember your cabin numbers on the Veendam?
Thanks.

Oh yes, versatile duct tape. That and we'll throw in a couple of bungee cords.
