We'll be on the Zuiderdam Western in October. I'm looking for information from people who have been to both Mr Sancho's and Paradise Beach. Which did you prefer, and why? It looks like we're only at Cozumel until 3pm:( . Had thought about the jeep rental thing, but feel like we may be cutting it a little short for time. Thanks

I would skip the jeep for sure and definately hit the beach ! The water is beautful and the beaches are fun.
What are you looking for - fun, activities, snorkeling ?
There is a webiste for Mt Sanchos I believe. The best thing about that beach was the beach bar with swings. I will say I loved it. For snorkeling try Dzul-ha or Chankanaab.

Actually neither. There is a club right down the beach from Mr Sanchos that I like much better Nachi Cocum. Great beach, food and drink - plus a lovely pool if you tire of the ocean.
Last time we were in Cozumel, we got there so early, Nachi Cocum's club was closed - so wwe went it thru Mr Sanchos and just walked down the beach (they are really next to each other maybe 1/8 to 1/4 mile apart).
Here's some pics (not mine but they are of Nachi Cocum:

Justustwo. I'm on Zuidy on the Oct 2nd sailing. I'll be renting a jeep as usual and seeing the beautiful shoreline stopping at Mr Sanchos and Coconuts. May have lunch at Pancho's Backyard later.

Both websites have coupons. Los Cinco Sole is my favorite store on Cozumel. Fixed prices and very helpful staff that is not at all pushy. Pancho's is a courtyard restaurant in the rear of the store.
I can't imagine much to do from 6:30 till 10:00 other than touring.

When I was last there, there was no entrance fee per se - but they did ask that you Spend a certain minimum (I think it was $10) which made sense to me. And their food and drinks were reasonably priced.
Quite frankly - not sure how they really enforced the minimum - its not like we had to pay anything up front, just paid for our drinks and food as we bought them.

Los Cinco Soles is the best ! Perfect day would be half on the beach, topped off with a little shopping (only at los cinco soles- the shops at the pier are no bargain) and a last stop at Carlos and Charlies before going back on the ship. I would take a shower and get changed at the beach...
If I had a longer stay, I would stop at the excellent internet cafe (just south of Punta Lagosta) which is cheap and also has very reasonable calling rates to check my email.

Paradise Beach is very nice. We were there in April. There is no entrance fee however, there's an implied purchase of drinks or food. Paradise Tom who posts on the Cozumel board would say no purchase is required.
They have free water sports of Kayak's, iceberg climb, water trampoline, and other water items available. They have nice lounge chairs with umbrellas. The drinks and food are pretty good (we tried nachos and margaretas). We also had a early arrival/early departure but you still have plenty of time to explore. If you have a jeep, it would be a nice stop. We would go back again if sailing the Western Carribean.

Visit all of the above! If you have a Jeep rental you have that freedom. :D
