I have just put a hold on Category H Cabin 732 on Sydney to Auckland Mariner cruise in November '08. It is our first Regent cruise. I see that 732 is above the Club Room on Deck Six which contains a number of computers. Will there be any noise issues in 732 from the Club Room; particularly early in the morning or late at night? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cabin 852 is also available. Any thoughts on this Category F cabin?

Thanks in advance for any help.

We have been in 862 and will be again next year.. 852
is a little too close to the life boats and boats used to shuttle people to shore. We felt 862 was not above the boats and would lower the noise level when you arrive at a port.. We loved the cabin for convience and did book it again next April...

Billp1,

Thanks for the information.

You might consider changing the H cabin to an H GTY (guarantee). This means that you will get AT LEAST an H, but probably (given how early you booked) get you a much better cabin.

We just got upgraded (for the 5/30 Alaska cruise) from a G GTY to a 'D' stateroom for no additional charge.

One other thought for you. Mariner has just converted a lot of cabins to Shower only and have taken out the bath tubs.

Rooms ending in the number 2 (752 ) are now
shower only in Cat D through H ..

I was under the impression that Regent had not yet converted any tubs to showers in categories G and H. That may change by Nov. '08. Either a tub/shower or only a shower will be fine.

5 in G and 1 in H according to the new brochure..
