Does anyone have any recent dailies from the Noordam or any other ship doing a 10/11 night Caribbean that they could post? Just curious to see what kinds of activities they offer on board.

Thanks!

Hello!
I have all of my daily info from my recent 10 cruise on the Maasdam. However, I don't have a scanner.
But if you go under the reviews for the Maasdam and get my e-mail address, I can send you info.

Navy Chief, I believe uploaded the planner onto a website. I was on the Noordam from April 11 to 21, 2007. The activities included the daily quiz, dancing lessons, bingo, cooking demos, etc.

We were on the msNOORDAM on an 11 day Caribbean cruise on March 10-21, 2007. As akaCruiser stated there is Trivia, Bingo, etc. along with some sporting events for DAM dollars.

It seems HAL is trying a new procedure for their daily scheduled activities and there were absolutely no organized board games for prizes (games like Scattergories, Pictionary, Taboo, Charades, etc.) We particulary loved going to all these game activites and were very disappointed that the HAL cruise staff were not doing these anymore. Also, all the craft events had a fee of $8 or more (they used to be free) and many would not participate. Many of us let the Cruise Director know how disappointed we were but regretfully it didn't seem to matter to him. We did write it up in our Opinion Surveys though. Hopefully, HAL will go back to their old ways before our next cruise in September.

I'm very surprised to see that on the Nordaam you have to pay to do activities. Can someone tell me about all the costs of these. Also what other things do you pay for on HAL that's you usually don't on a cruise. On our one and only cruise we did a bunch of these type of activites as well as trivia.

Love to hear anyones input.:(

Where would I find Navy Chief's planners?

I'm particularly interested in the dailies from Noordam -- would you be able to scan and share?

I'd be curious to know what they're charging for -- I hate being nickled and dimed -- within reason that is. For example, I don't mind paying $15 for a martini/margarita tasting (do they have these on HAL??); I rarely go to any craft classes, so that's not a big deal. It bothers me that cruiselines are charging for fitness classes (yoga, etc.) now, so I won't go...

Me too!

BTW, does anyone know why I can't get pricing on any HAL cruises right now? I've tried HAL's website as well as several on line TA's, and I can't get anything -- is this (Saturday night) when HAL usually makes price adjustments?

I've just about got DH convinced to do the Noordam cruise in February :D . Showed him all the pictures and virtual tours and he's impressed with the ship. I think if I was able to get pricing tonight we'd probably be booked...

I went to webshots, and typed in noordam. I found the daily newsletter there.

interesting to read it.
