Yes, we are still trying to do web cam waves:D
This afternoon I am planning on catching Sean and his Mom on the Diamond Princess from the forward aft balcony at 5:30 Pacific time. I forgot which deck he said but know it was starboard the most forward cabin. If that is the case we should catch a good wave from him.... as a matter of fact someone is there now.

I tried to call Sean but he does not have his phone on, he is not expecting to talk to me till tonight. This morning might have been better with the way with the sun is shining at the ship rather than against the camera. I left him a voice message so maybe he will call back, but I do need to get ready for church shortly.

A girls 'gotta do' what a girls 'gotta do' to accomplish your goal. Maybe they'll do a 'nice' in return and position the web cam so we can get an Oosterdam wave next week.

Try this:
Suggest to Princess that they position the camera so you can get a HAL picture, but they can superimpose a subscript reading:

"This webcam shot presented courtesy of Princess Cruise Lines".

They don't even have to mention HAL! Maybe that will do the trick? ;)

I actually started a thread over there and only 1 poster responded:( It is already on their 2nd page. Not overly friendly or they just did not care. Oh Well, I was trying to be nice and tell them about seeing one of their ships on the San Diego web cam:)

I had left Sean a message, then he called me back but I was out and about shopping after church. We are going to attempt the wave at 5:30 Pacific time. He is actually back about 20 cabins from the very front and is on the balcony deck that is the second one up from the bottom. We will attempt to see him then.

I think he will be some where here in the middle.

Any luck Lisa? I took a couple of shots around 5:30....not sure if I got him....

Could this possibly be him on second deck up? Shadows/afternoon marine layer are making this difficultto get clarity.

Sean did not have ared bra but...:D he had his Mom's red dress.

Unfortunately you really cannot make it out so they are going to go up front on the top deck and see how that works.

Yes, I would say we made history for Princess. But then maybe they have been doing it and no one told us:D Or just maybe they are not as nuts as we are;) :eek:

I just reviewed this thread again....I am not in the light blue shirt....that is Kathleen. She also has long black slacks on.

I am to the left of Kathleen in the light grey t-shirt and dark shorts. I am standing a little back from the railing and Kathleen is closer to the rail.

Thanks again for capturing the pics. Kathleen forwarded the e-mail to me that you sent to her.

Do you have any more pics?

Some more clarification......In the middle pic, I am to the right of Kathleen .

In the third pic, I am to the left of Kathleen.

I should have worn something brighter....like the the light blue that Kathleen was wearing. :)
