Did everyone else get their Mariner's Magazine already?
(Mine is usually late, if ever...)
There's a nice large artist's impression of Eurodam on the back cover -
- basically a Photoshop-ed Vista...
...But not Noordam - the stern is the original Vista configuration.
(Can anyone ID the Hotel Manager pictured below???)

Yes, there is a post card to send for the free cruise drawing, but, did anyone notice that there is no place for name, address, or Mariner ID #?:(

Yes, I noticed no place for name. Isn't it usually pre-printed on there? I think it has been in the past. Someone goofed.

Dat's cuz they don't want anyone to win.

Dont feel bad Frank - I haven't received the last couple of 'em either...
...I'm guessing the only reason I got this one is that it has my parents names on it too.

:( We didn't get one yet either but sometimes we get our later than other people get theirs. Hopefully we'll get it soon. You have me curious about the HM question/now I want to see that photo.
Is it Stan Kuppens?

I got mine about a week ago. I don't recognize the Hotel Manager, but he seems pretty young (don't they all  ) so he may indeed be a model.
I don't remember a post card, but there is a World's Leading Cruise Lines half-page ad on the inside back cover that talks about the free cruise thing and a web address to sign up. I did -- what the heck, HAL and Cunard have my info anyway, which means all of the rest of them have it, and you never know, we might win. The info they asked for was pretty basic. One thing -- you had to have taken a cruise on one of the lines prior to Jan 1 2007, and they ask you for the last cruise you took, with the latest drop-down option for year being 2006. Since our Westerdam b2b was in 2007, I entered the QM2 TA we did last year.
Here's the web address for those interested who may not have gotten the mag: www.worldsleadingcruiselines.com/freecruisedrawing (http://www.worldsleadingcruiselines.com/freecruisedrawing) (of course, if you win, you have to take me, since I gave you the web site :D )

Got our Mariner Magazine last week. I also signed up for the free cruise you indicated Dave. (couldn't hurt)
The back page photo of the Eurodam looks beautiful--I hadn't noticed the aft actually. I was drawn to the high-level cabins with the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Ours came last week. Good issue. Eurodam looks pretty much like the other Vistas. I think they're great looking ships, but I still prefer the R and S class.

I'm so jealous of those of you who got your Mariner Magazine. Hopefully ours is 'en route'.

The online entry form includes a spot to state -in 25 words or less - why HAL is your favorite cruiseline.
This would be a great opportunity to say that you prefer traditional seating if that's how you feel!!!

The picture of the "hotel manager" looks like a model. Doesn't look like a real HM to me. And you can bet most of the other "passengers" are models, too. (Except for those who are identified in candid onboard shots.)

the officer on the back cover is not a Hotel Manager
not enough stripes on the jacket sleeves
likewise, not the culinary operations manager for same reason
may be assistant dining room supervisor
beautiful ship though:)

Here's that "computerized" pic of Eurodam from the Mariner magazine that Brian's talking about. Obvious changes are the extra deck and cabins forward and the restaurant in front of the two stacks/funnels. She also appears to have an extra tender/life boat aft of the exterior elevator.
Sea King is correct, the dude on the back cover appears to "only" have the Hotel Department's two gold bars with white filling. The Hotel Manager has four gold bars with white filling. Could be a model but he does have the HAL name tag and the gold employees pin. A "two striper" means he could be the Chief Housekeeper, Assistant F&B Manager, Executive Chef, Controller or Provision Master.
