Just heard on our local news, NBC4, that NCL is bringing the Majesty to Baltimore next summer for 10 seven night sailings :D

Norwegian called us two weeks ago offering introductory rates (that stunk, I can't remember exactly now what they were). Also, after a little research I found that it is about a 46,000 ton ship. Way too small for us.

I had originally heard that the Grandeur of The Seas wasn't coming back here next year but their web site shows they are.

We heard a rumor lately that Carnival may be returning also.

NCL will join Royal Caribbean at the 60,000 square-foot South Locust Point cruise terminal, which opened last year just off Interstate 95.

Royal Caribbean's Grandeur will only have 15 cruises from Baltimore in 2008. RCI is moving the Grandeur's Bermuda cruises to Norfolk, VA. It has to do with scheduling and it is a shorter trip from Norfolk.

Locust Point can't handle very tall ships. There is a bridge in the bay that ships have to get under that will likely always limit the size of craft sailing from this port.

Cheers!

The Miracle has sailed from Baltimore- so does that mean any Spirit class ship can make it under the bridge? Also Carnival could give us one if the smaller ones, wouldn't it be nice?:)
