Sofitel (Sheraton) Brisbane

Am thinking of staying at the Sofiltel (ex Sheraton) Hotel in Brisbane pre cruise in October. Has anyone ever stayed there? What is it like? Is it worth the money (I can get a room for $155 a night)?

My husband and I stayed there on our wedding night. It was a nice hotel, a great room , we had a presidential suite, which included free pre- dinner drinks and nibblies and breakfast included. We have actually stayed there again since. Its pretty much right in the city.We are also going on the star in October. Tropical Qld on the 6th. Which one are you on?

Hi Trevor

Hubby and I stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane, for two nights prior to our Easter sunrise cruise in April this year. It was beautiful!!!! Great position, easy access to Brisbane CBD and Queen Street Mall. I would HIGHLY recommend it! ***** 5 star all the way!!
They have escalator access to a 'rear' entrance/exit which brings you out onto Ann street and just a short walk down Ann Street is the 'Grand Central Hotel', a great place for a good priced meal. Gorgeous decor and great atmosphere. Hope all that helps you with your decision.
