They did have afternoon tea, but it wasn't thrilling. My husband especially missed having frozen yogurt, which was not available. I have always enjoyed afternoon tea, but I didn't go out of my way on the Journey to go to it once I saw what was offered. They just didn't have a great selection. The only thing that I still enjoyed were the mini croissants. An alternative that we enjoyed was going to the Cova Cafe and having tea there while the harpist performed. The goodies were complimentary, but you had to pay for the tea.

No offense but what does frozen yogurt have to do with afternoon tea!
Afternoon tea is little finger sandwiches, small desserts, scones and perhaps a nice dessert tray with various cakes and pies. Frozen yogurt has never been an afternoon tea item.
Did they serve the tea in the Looking glass lounge with string quartet and white gloved waiters serving individual pots of tea? That's afternoon tea like they had on Oceania.

Afternoon tea on the May 19th sailing was served each day from 4 to 5 pm in the Windows Cafe. No white gloved waiters, but you could pick up an individual pot of tea from the beverage station. I only saw one person being served by a waiter, others served themselves. The food as listed above.

Oh.. afternoon tea was a real production on Oceania Regatta. I made sure to get there everyday at 3:45 to reserve a nice table out of the sun for my father, aunt and uncle. At 4PM the waiters- dressed in tuxedos and white gloves came around and presented the teas and individual pots of hot water- followed by finger sandwiches, minature desserts and then they would wheel out a tea card with nine different dessert to choose from. All the while, there was a quartet playing "Edelweiss"- " Maria" or "As Time Goes By". It was heaven on Earth and the highlight of our trip. In fact, my Dad, Aunt, Uncle and I still get together for afternoon tea on land. We never did this before but have fallen in love with this tradition.

Azamara- take note!

I think they offer afternoon tea - which is the basic tea foodstuff. And I'm also thinking they have 'high' tea, maybe once a week - with the whole white-glove production. Not been on the Journey, buth they had something like that on previous Celebrity cruise I was on.

They serve tea on the Journey from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in the Windows Cafe. It is small sandwiches and pastry. You have a nice view from there In the evening, the Windows Cafe changes its name to Breeza. It was surprising to run into people on the last day of the sail that were still looking for the Breeza restaurant.

Frozen yogurt may not have anything to do with afternoon tea, but on Celebrity ships, they serve frozen yogurt in the afternoon, in the cafe area, at the same time and in the same area as they serve the tea & snacks. I personally enjoy tea and the goodies, but my husband who does not care for cookies and tea enjoys the frozen yogurt. I certainly did not mean to offend anyone by adding a little more info than what was asked for.

Hey MaryJean,

RebeccaLouise is correct about what is traditionally included in afternoon tea, although like everything else, new ways of having tea are always evolving!

So I vote for considering frozen yogurt as part of your tea time if you want to do so.

Let's not be too picky, or I'll have to start in about the traditional meaning of high tea, which people commonly but incorrectly use interchangeably with afternoon tea ... :p

I personally have taken up referring to all cookies as biscuits as a result of various happy afternoon tea experiences, which sounds much less indulgent in the likely event that I end up have a few. Now I'm planning to be open to the idea of frozen yogurt to go with my ... biscuits!
