Hi! We just returned from the 7/4 to 7/11 Sun to Alaska cruise (we took the scenic route home). It was wonderful beyond all our best dreams. When I got into our room I was so happy I started bawling, and that mood lasted the whole trip. I will post a cruise review as soon as I figure out where they go in this new forum. In the meantime, I welcome any questions.

What movies were shown in the theatre and in the rooms if you remember
Also wondering about photos taken during the cruise by the photographers...is there a package that you can buy soon after boarding the ship that gives you all of the photos taken of you during the cruise?
thanks very much
Karen

Gosh, I don't even remember there being a theater. We attended several of the functions - the Cirque Pan, and Mr. Producer (both were Jean Ann Ryan company performances) and most of the trivia contests (my family won the 70's TV trivia contest and I was one of the 3 who "won" a million dollars on Who Wants to be a Millionaire - trust me, I stank, but they make it pretty impossible to lose). The movies that were showing on our TVs were Calendar Girls and Along Came Polly.

No, and I asked about them about that because I had read that on the first day we could purchase a package for $160. The photographer looked confused and said they didn't have anything like that. However, each time I bought photos, I asked "What's the best deal you can give me today?" and they would always throw one in free. Also, they really liked my 11 year old daughter and gave her a free keychain or something on a couple of occasions. The last day, they have a special photo package you can buy, but it is not personal photos - it's sightseeing photos of the scenery on your cruise. One lady was having a very spirited discussion with them about that when we were there, wanting the special to apply to her personal photos.

There is no theatre on the Sun, but when we sailed in May, they did show movies 3-4 times in the disco on a big screen, in additional to the movies that were offered in you room on the tv. At the time we thought the movies were fairly current.
