As I now have about 60 days before my cruise, I am ready to book some shore excursions. The HAL website indicates that there is a fee if I cancel, but I didn't see any mention of how much the fee would be. Can anyone help me? susan.

Used to be able to cancel up to one week prior to sail date for free

If memory serves me correctly, if you cancel onboard within 24 hours of your excursion time, I believe they charge 10%, but I could be wrong, that's what I am remembering.

:)
For our cruise in May we ordered several excursions on line. When we got on the ship, our tickets were there with a note inside them.
"Any queries or amendments must be addressed at the shore excursion office before 5 PM on the day of embarkation. Any adjustments made after this time will be subject to the cancellation policy below: All tours are subject to a 10% cancellation fee from the time of booking. Any changes or cancellations made after the booking deadline are non-refundable."
I would assume that this note is given to all passengers who pre-order shore excursions.

Thanks for such a quick and authoritative answer. As a first timer, there is just so much to know. I really love this bulletin board.
Oh, I just read yor HAL quote again. Did they mean the "day of embarkation" or the "day before embarkation"?
susan.

The day of embarkation. When you get on the ship there will be a daily program in your cabin which will the hours for the shore excursion desk. If you have any probelms, that's when you go to see them. Depending on the itinerary, sometimes the shore excursion line is long the first day and other times it is short.
