OK Im trying to play catch up here, I admit to knowing nadda about Disney. So I tried to find the deck plans on Disney's site for the Disney Magic to see where things are, like where the pool is the buffet, the dining rooms etc and see what there is.
I can't find a place on their site to click for deck plans on the ships. What is the size of the cabins, inside and outside for comparison. Someone else mentioned separate bathrooms in the staterooms, what does this mean? All the cruises Iv been on had a separate door into the bathroom. Does that comment apply to the Magic?
Could someone give me a link to start me in the right direction.
thanks in advance

Whenever you wish to find info on deckplans first go to cruisedeckplans.com.
Hope the below link is some help to you.

Thanks, I finally figured out you have to register on the Disney site to get to any info on the ships and deckplans too.
I sure got a lot to learn before my cruise, what fun and thanks for your link. Im going there NOW and see what I can learn.

I booked thru a TA that I found online by googling. She was super nice. But now Im trying to enter my booking # on the disney site and it says not found. Is that normal? Am I still supposed to be able to enter the booking # on the disney site like I would other cruiselines. Does it take a little while before Disney will recognize the booking # or is their site for only if I booked directly thru Disney.
I did get to see the cabin and plans, thanks so much. Nice large cabins :) Still looking and absorbing.

I think it only recognizes it (if booking thru a TA) after DCL has received payment in full.

I booked with a TA and was able to access my reservation on line before I paid in full.

Thanks, I guess I am just worried that something will go wrong and they will say oppps, sorry no more cabins. It still says
"Reservation not found. Please re-enter your reservation number and birth date."
I will have to call the TA. I would feel better if the disney site recognized my booking # as valid.
The reservation # is the same as the booking # right?

Seperate bathrooms on Disney. One thing that disney has over other cruise lines is this. One "bathroom" has the tub/shower and the other has a sink and the toilet. Makes it easier to get ready in the morning and for dinner etc.

Oh thanks, now I understand the comment about the bathrooms. I have not taken a bath in years, but I can understand why a cruiseline catering to children would have them in all the cabins. Iv looked at some pictures of the cabins and they seem to have a lot of sitting area, comfortable couches where you could sit and read that look nice.
Im still reading some of the older threads here, thanks for your reply.

I had trouble accessing our reservation after our first cruise also, but I found out I was putting in the wrong number. You should have a reservation number, but it will be different from the invoice # or the confirmation number. You will have an awesome time on your cruise. Enjoy! One thing we didn't know about ...they only do the show in Animator's Palate on the first night, so if you decide to go to Palo, check your dining rotation.

I can't recall if you mentioned when you are planning to cruise DCL, but, if you have enough time, it might be worth ordering their planning DVD. I don't have the current one (I should request it, though), but the one prior, and it is a lot of fun to watch to get some DCL excitement going. And . . . it has interactive deck plans.
When it comes to Disney, and DCL included, I feel like you either get an over-abundance of information or not enough. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium. For instance, I was hoping to see tons of information about Castaway Cay on their DVD, but was disappointed. And then there are some clips in the video that replay over and over again in different segments, which I find frustrating.
Considering how expensive a Disney Cruise runs, I feel like I want to be completely prepared for every single minute of the cruise, before I board. I am certain that I would be more relaxed and laid back if I was only paying $349 a person, like on the last cruise we were on.

I think I did order the DVD in my sister's name on Friday, so hopefully its coming. I am surprised there are not all the threads you see on other cruiseline threads about "If my cruise price goes down do I get the reduction? (do prices only go up from here?) and "cabins to avoid" (seems like everyone on my roll call mostly is on deck 5 so far) and "can I smuggle on alchohol" (never have yet, but once was tempted so I could bring some for friends), etc.
Im still soaking up the disney verbage and thanks to another post found a link to other roll calls that are very active already for my cruise. Are prices better when the cruises first come out than they are now?
Still lots to learn. thanks everyone
