Just wondering if anyone out there had any info on the Inside Staterooms that have Quad Occupancy. Also, any pictures would be much appreciated. I'm going to be in room 1018 which appears to be a larger inside room. Thanks.
David

Hi,

All of the inside staterooms will have the same square footage, according to stateroom category. The ship's maps are sometimes skewed by the graphic designers when the maps are made - it can look like there is an open space between cabin walls (there isn't) or look larger by the location on the ship, but unfortunately, all of the insid. You can always go onto the Holland America website for pictures of the staterooms. The quad rooms will have a hideaway bed and/or bunks that fold up on the wall during the day. The room steward will take care of moving the beds for you - make and put away the bed during the day and bring it down and pull down the covers for the evening.

Best Regards,
Julia

David,
We had a quad last year on the Volendam to Alaska and had tons of room. My daughter slept on the fold-down-from-wall bunk bed and my son slept on the sofa bed. Our steward made them up each morning. We are on the Noordam in three weeks! in another quad room. I'll try to remember to take a few pictures around the cabin before we mess it all up.

I was in a J-category quad on Main Deck on the Noordam in January.

These cabins are much larger than the other J-cats on the upper decks and are quite comfortable. They can't be compared to the cabins on the S- and R-class ships.
There were twin beds which could be converted to queen, with an upper (single) bunk above. The couch opened to a single (lower) bed.
There were two closets for hanging and a third closet with shelves and an area for hanging short things below. The four life vests took up a lot of the available room. There were also the two nightstands with two drawers each and a cabinet with two shelves as part of the desk.

It would be very tight for four people.

Anything else I can tell you about it?
