Here's a link to a transfer service: http://www.argentinas-hotels.com/hotel_transfer.htm

I haven't been there yet so it's just a link--not a recommendation.

The first time we stayed in the Park Hyatt. It is now the Four Seasons, lovely hotel, great location.

The second time we stayed at the Intercontinental. Not as fancy as the Four Seasons, but nice, and had an excellent dining room. Prices were in Pesos, not $$$ (as some are) so the great food was a real bargain.

You can just contact your hotel, and they will arrange for any transportation you need. The last time we flew into BA, and I arranged a car and driver through the hotel. It was only $20 for the two of us. The first time we left from BA and the hotel arranged everything.

I was last in BA 30 years ago and stayed in the Claridge Hotel which was very good at that time. It had a very English feel to it as you might expect. In January, we will be staying at the Park Tower after our Insignia Cruise. It is part of the Luxury Collection which is part of starwood.com

We will be on the December 17th Insignia cruise. I recently received a "proposal" from a tour operator for a trip to the falls. In addition I asked for info on BA hotels and the operator has suggested the Hotel Sofitel - - two blocks from the "famous 9-Julio Ave and Recoleta commercial district." Does anybody have experience with this property?

We haven't been there before either. The word is that the area called Recoleta is the place to stay. This hotel is not in that area.. so .........

Stay at the Four Seasons. Great hotel, and right in the Recolata area.

We were at the Four Seasons (actually it was the Park Hyatt then) and after our four days in BA took a car to the airport. The flight was delayed, and when we finally found out at 4AM........they sent us to a "luxury" hotel.

It was called the Hotel Presidente, and really was a dump. It is rated four stars. So I will say that hotel ratings are not the same as what you would expect here. I would only recommend well respected, five star hotels.
