I would like to sail an Alaskan repo on HAL (14 nights Alaska West coast) However it appears that this is not something that they offer. Their repos out of Vancouver usually include the Canal. Am I correct?

You can't get 14 nights, but you can combine a coastal (3- or 4-day) with a sailing out of Vancouver in the spring and fall. Of course, this is first and last of season, so that may not be when you want to go.

The only cruise I can think of isn't a repo and it's a bit longer than 14-days (16-18 days). HAL does a sailing from Vancouver/Seattle r/t to Hawaii in late April before that ship starts the Alaska season. So, if you're looking for a non-canal, longer cruise from the Vancouver area, that is it.
Well, there is also the September cruise from Vancouver/Seattle to San Diego via the Orient and South Pacific, but that is about 64-days. I guess one could consider that a repo cruise that doesn't involve the canal. ;)
PS: AlohaPride just mentioned the 11 and 12-day September cruises that were essentially the last 7-day Alaskan cruise of the season for the ship with the coastal cruise to California added on. Is that what you're looking for?

Now that you mention it - that may be the cruise OP is thinking about.

Jim,
HAL is not offering spring repos next year. The coastal parts are now all part of longer itinerearies that don't include Alaska. Once they get to Vancouver and Seattle they begin their 7 night Alaska runs.
The Coastal can not be purchased separately.
They still have the Repo/Alaska cruises in the Fall. I am wondering if these may also disappear in 2009? I haven't heard anything about that, but since the Spring repo disappeared in 2008, maybe the fall will disappear in 2009.

Just checked and 2008 Fall Alaska/Coastal no longer exist.
Both the Fall and Spring 2008 coastal are linked with PC, Japan, Mexico,
Hawaii, etc.
There are Fall Alaska/ Repos this year.
Wonder what this bodes for 2009?

We are going on the msNOORDAM on September 30th from Seattle to NYC through the Panama Canal. This seems to be a repositioning. We are really looking forward to doing this route.
