Hello - does anyone know anyone that creates and sell Magnetic door signs for the cruises? I am not the creative type, but would love one.
Thanks

Last year we bought the Aniv package that had the cake and decorations in it and came with a door sign. In Sept we are going to Hawaii on RCI and will also do 3 nights of DL after and plan on making a sign. I am going to use Yellow Poster board and put the name of the ship, ports of call, things we plan on doing snorkel, luau, and either bring along some cheap magents or get some magnetic backing from craft stores. Plus I am going to add some scrap book stickers as well. We are doing the same thing for DIsneyLand but will use the other half of the poster board.

You can buy magnetic paper from any office supply store that goes in your printer.

There are literally thousands of companies that do them, some probably not to far from you. It's a good idea, and can become a lifetime souvenier. Decorated doors are neat, and help you locate your room, and it seem's as though, Disney is pretty tolerant, within reason. Metrowon

I do door signs for every group we travel with. Which is all our cruises. I just print them out on fun paper with a Theme, first names, cabin #, Sail Date. Stuff like that and take double sided tape with me and tape them to the doors. They stay up all week and are inexpensive, easy and easy to remove.....Have fun!

FYI - you are no longer permitted to use tape on the doors on DCL. They've had lots of problems with tape ruining the paint on the doors, so you are only allowed to use magnets or magnetic paper for your signs. I believe they started enforcing this policy about two months ago.

Don't plan on using tape anymore! It seems that it's damaging the doors by taking the paint off. Disney doesn't mind the magnets but they've requested "No More Tape".

There is another board you should check out. Disboards dot com. There are instructions on how to make the signs, some people will make them and email then to you for free. Then you just have to print them. Magnetic Paper waws expensive and my printer would not accept it so I printed the signs on paper and laminated them with a self laminating pack I got at Target or Walmart and then attached magnetic tape to them It worked fine.
I am not creative at all either but I found some I liked and some people were gracious enough to recreate theris for me with my names and dates. there is a whole long thread where people have posted their signs.

For our RCI Hawaii cruise we are going to make a door dign for our cabin. I bought yellow posterboard and some magnetic stips. I am then going to do a lot of letters with the name of the ship, and then with small stickers do ports of call, things we plan on doing. places on the ship things on the ship. I am also going to do one for DisneyLand as well. Just going to use the other half of the poster board.
