As I understand it, the Neptune Lounge has Wi-Fi so that I can bring my laptop with me. Is there an internet package to buy on board or is it free? Also, does anyone know if you have a Verizon Wireless America's Choice calling plan, if it works as part of your calling plan to use it on the Inside Passage cruise. It looks like Verizon has coverage up and down the inside passage, but if you are cruising, do you have to go through the ship's communication system? Thanks!!!

When we were on the Zuiderdam, we were unable to use our laptop in the Neptune Lounge, nor did we see anyone else using theirs. But that was at the beginning of this year, and maybe this has changed.
The only places we were able to recieve a signal, was in the computer lounge, and in the Crow's Nest. There were a couple of other places, but I don't remember what they were. We were also not able to use the laptop in our cabin.
There was a fee, and we did buy a package, but I don't remember what it cost.

The wi-fi does work in the Neptune Lounge on the Noordam, but you still have to buy a package to gain access. I have the same Verizon America's Choice calling plan. It worked 90% of the time on the Alaska cruise. Did NOT go through ship's communication system -- ever.
