Final Document Packet

When does HAL typically deliver final docs? My parents are cruising in July and haven't received theirs.

They're checked in online, so I don't forsee a problem, but I think they are wondering when their luggage tags, etc. (whaever "ETC" is on HAL....) will be arriving.

They've emailed the TA and haven't heard back, so I thought I'd ask the experts. :)

I think DH and I got our final documents about 1 month prior to departure. Can they contact HAL directly?

Have you tried the Track Your Documents (http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef) using their HAL booking number in the Refernce field?

Thanks...that worked! I hadn't thought to try their booking number -- I thought I'd need a tracking number from the TA.

Unfortunately, HAL delivered the packet to the wrong TA, but it's getting sorted out.

I'm surprised Krazy Kruisers has hers already for the August sailings. I sail to Alaska on the 18th of August and so far don't have any documents.

Your HAL booking/reservations number (six characters, a combination of letters and numbers) is also your DHL reference number.

Are you sailing on the Voldendam to Alaska on the 13th? Hubby & I are doing a land/cruise tour and our sailing date is the 13th? We are getting anxious.

We do our own Air - thus probably speeds up things as we don't have to wait for HAL to make the final air arrangements.

We are cruising Rotterdam on August 10 and our tickets arrived last week - all the way down here in Australia. LOL!

Maybe you want a different TA next time? Not answering your email was bad enough, but they should had their finger on the pulse of your documents anyway - you shouldn't have had to sweat it that way. There is so much competition now among TA's - since so much can be done now on the internet without their help - if you choose to use one you have a right to expect actual "service" - not just a human hand to take your credit card and then forget about you.

Hi, Barb -
No, we're on the Amsterdam, round trip Seattle to Alaska. We'll be in Ketchikan the same day as you, but we leave at 1:00 and your ship pulls in at 2:00.

My DH & I were on the Volendam in October 2005 for a 10-day Caribbean cruise. We both consider that the very best cruise we ever had (so far;) ) because of the ports and the passengers and crew we met on board. It just all came together on the Volendam. You will have a great time!

We're getting very excited too for our cruise. We were on the Amsterdam 5 years ago for this same trip. Great ship and great ports.

According to the DHL tracking site, my documents for the August 26 cruise left Seattle yesterday and are in Ohio today. Looks like next week could be my lucky week. :D
