Does anyone know what's happened to JimVrhovac?
I haven't seen them since weeks before the board conversion.
Jim ... are you lurking? Are you wearing your Peppy-Lepew slippers?

:)

You are right revneal. Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him posting for weeks.

Wonder if Ruth is all right?

Or is he "speeding" down the interstate to catch a cruise ship?

Actually I noticed he quit posting just a few days after he got back from their last cruise. I think he was on the same cruise as Joe from West Palm Beach. Hope he returns, I always enjoy what he has to say.

He was on that same cruise. Could he be that he only posts during the time leading up to his cruise and then just after he gets back? I certainly enjoy his bizarre sense of humor.

Okay. This is the APB for Jim V. Maybe his Commodore 64 can't handle the new board's code!

Maybe Joe will see this, and know something.

I thought the same thing about not seeing Jim on the Boards for quite some time. I thought I had his e-mail address but upon checking couldn't find it. Do hope both of them are OK.
I will keep trying to find his address and send him an e-mail. Maybe someone else has it??????

I believe I have his e-mail address at home, but I don't think I know him well enough to e-mail him to ask if everything is fine. Does someone want me to forward his e-mail address?

:)

I just sent Jim an e-mail. Don't know when he will get back to me.

Told him that we have all been asking about on the HAL boards.

Maybe he will come back on.

If I hear anything, will let everyone know.

I have missed him also, I know he had a few cruises scheduled, some of them to do with nursing conferences. Hope Ruth is OK.....jean

The e-mail has been sent. I do hope he will either answer us or get back onto cruise critic soon.

As we said earlier, we hope both Ruth and Jim are all right.

I have a feeling that the cruises he was going on were on celebrity or carnival, but not HAL. Perhaps he is posting on those boards at the moment. I know he had quite a few lined up.

I just went into the old Boards and found Jim's last post - it was 5/22/04.
As you know he lists cruises taken and future cruises - these were listed as

Summer 2004 Not selected yet
12-04-04 Veendam (7 Day Carib)
12-11-04 Veendam (7 Day Carid) Back-to-Back
11-25-05 Veendam (14 Day Carib)

I do hope nothing is wrong and that KK will hear from Jim or Ruth very shorty.

Just a thought - I think he is an AOL user - could be he is having trouble logging on as I believe some AOL users did have problems - Laura posted a message at the top of the forum to AOL users. Let's hope this is why we have not heard from him.

I think Jennie may be correct and he is visiting other boards as his next cruises were on other than HAL.

I join you all in hoping we hear happy news that Jim and Ruth are both fine and busy preparing for their cruises.

Another voice here hoping that Jim and Ruth are fine. Maybe right now they are out somewhere on the bounding main having a wonderful Lobster dinner.

pollux ... and other AOL users ...

Why use AOL's browser? Just use a stand-alone browser. I'm a Macintosh person, and I use Safari. But, I could use Microsoft Internet Explorer as a stand-alone browser from AOL.

I use AOL at home and work and I have absolutely No Problems. I admit the day we switched over it woulld not except my sign on but then I signed on using Internet Explorer and voila!! everything was fine. I have AOL on my computer at work because otherwise thru our companies internet system they have chat boards blocked, luckily I have enough senority they allow me to have AOL on my computer.

I did a seach of old the old posts yesterday and came up with the same information.

I still have not heard from them.

And yes, Jim uses AOL.

I use AOL and have had no problems whatsoever. I don't think that's the problem. Of course, they may be having some other sort of computer problem or server problem.

Or hopefully they got a great last minute deal and sailed away!:)

Good news !

Expect to see Jim on the boards in around a week. He's been ill, and also working strenuously.

But he'll be back. :)

Ruth and I are fine.

I have been really busy with work since the last cruise and have not had time to get on the boards. I finally logged into the new board tonight and should be around ( at least weekly).

We are cruiseing in Ocrtober with one of my patients on the Zuiderdam and really look forward to it.

Ruth is starting to do a little home health nursing and it has improved her outlook greatly. It is really doint her good getting out of the house more often.

Her medical condition had not gotten better or worse. She lives on her pain killers and does the best she can and I admire her for that.

Again, I thank everyone for you kind works of concern....

Jim and Ruth,

It's so GOOD to hear from you! I was getting a bit worried that we hadn't heard from y'all in at least a couple of months!

I can certainly understand the pressures of life and work being, at times, overwhelming. It's just good to know y'all are ok!

Take care, both of you, and God bless you!

Hi Jim, Hi Ruth

Welcome back!!! I guess busy is good, but leisure is better. I'm glad Ruth is able to work a bit. I know that helps me. Helping others always helps.

Ryan still talks about you and his Maasdam cruise. So far his 2 week old baby sister doesn't seem to remember the cruise, but then she doesn't talk very much yet.

Lou sends regards too.

Linda :) :)

Hi Jim,
It's good to hear you're both OK. It's also good to hear that Ruth is getting out more.
Take care,
Pat.

Hi Jim

I'm so glad to hear from you. You have been Missed!!!! Please give Ruth a warm hello for me. David and I have set a wedding date for next September but that can change. He placed a bid for a home in the town I live in this week. of us. Keeping my fingers crossed! If he gets the new home I feel certain we will be moving the wedding date up a few months. Afterall, he's looking forward to having me around to keep up the bargain for the diamond. ( Thanks alot Jim!!! ) You and Ruth will always be remembered as two who shared and made our initial engagement so special. I hope our paths cross again sometime.

I was going back through old posts tonight trying to find something and came across this thread.

This thread really shows the kind of people we have on this board. We have met only a few of you in person but you all were concerned that we were well and that nothing has happened to us.

Rereading this thread has reconfirms our belief that cruisers are (in general) a group of kind, descent, caring people.

Thank you all

Jim & Ruth
