Cruising to Livorno

Hello:
I have been debating with several people about the ships excursion from Livorno to Florence.....Is this the tour to take....the pros and cons, please??

We hired a private driver. Two other couples joined us, and the cost was much less P/P than the ship's tour. Plus, our driver built the itinerary "opposite" the ship's busses so we wouldn't have so much crowding at the sites we visited. Whatever you do, definitely visit Pisa and Florence. Amazing cities.

Hi,
i think we will take the train. Cheap and fast. Last time we were here we took the train to Lucca but we have also done Pisa that way too. the only problem being if that is a day when the railways are on strike.
