:) Hi...I keep thinking of different things...food, drink...LOL
Does Hal have a "Wine Tasting"?....If so, when is it usually held and how much do they charge?
I love that sort of thing:) ....hoping they offer it!

They had a wine tasting on the Zuiderdam last June (2003). Since I just was looking at last year's cruise mementoes, I saw the final statement. It cost $7.50 per person and was held on a sea day in the afternoon. The wine wasn't world class but it was quite good. Everyone got the proper glasses, asmall plate of cheese, tomato, fruit and a brownie (Ithink) to taste along with the wine. The sommelier talked about each wine and has us taste each wine with the proper companion. I think there were 6-7 wines. Worth the money for a nice hour or so in the afternoon.

:) Wine tasting
On the Maasdam this past May, we didn't go to it as we were disappointed in the wine tasting that we had on the Oosterdam just a couple of months before. The price was $7.50 and we got to sample 5 wines from the Navigator Package. There weren't any special wines as in the past. We sampled 2 whites and 3 reds.
Maybe the wine tasting will be better on your ship. Not all the ships offer the same wines to sample.

Hi Lois. I'm a single woman too. Yes, I like meeting the people at the wine tasting. It was fun on the Dawn Princess. I wonder if they have have a single meet and greet the first night.

Be very careful how you use that word "shy" on the Zuiderdam, Lois...people might mistake it for the guy who works in the Lido Restaurant. :D

Yes there actually is a Shy in the Lido Restaurant....many many people talk about him on here. I had the opportunity to meet him on my cruise and was quite impressed. He is very friendly and loves to laugh about his "fame" here on CC. And he remembers names soooooo well!
