When I cruised with Celebrity, they had a tour offered of the Restaurant kitchens onboard. It was very interesting. Do they do anything similar on Holland American ?

Yes, they offered it on day two (first sea day) of our Noordam Alaska cruise two weeks ago. It's called the "Behind the Scenes Galley Tour". Look for it in your daily program.:)

I too love to cook as well as it being my last name. I am sailing on Noordam on Sept 23 to Alaska. I hope we have good weather. I am unsure though which flightseeing company to book with as I need to see Alaska from the air as people have suggested.

Hey CB, I took a cooking class when I was on the Westerdam in March. There were three of us and the chef down in the galley. With such a small class we each could make our own dish and then share when everything was ready. It was fun and I thought I was working in a glassed room due to the gleam off of all the metal in the galley. :)
