Do there tend to be any twenty-somethings on HAL Alaskan cruises? I'll be with my mom, but just wanted to know if I could expect to see anyone around my age on the ship!

:)
We have been on several Alaskan cruises on HAL. There were not a lot of "20 somethings". But the ones we met were enjoying themselves as they were not there to party but to enjoy all the richness and history that Alaska has to offer.

I've cruised to Alaska on Celebrity, HAL & Princess and you don't tend to see that many 20 something's (or younger) onboard. That said, definitely don't let that hold you back --- you will be so tired at night from the port intensive sightseeing you've done, you won't be wanting to disco / party all night long for sure.
The young people who are onboard are all very friendly, tend to be quite intelligent, and are mostly interested in all the natural beauty and wonderfully scenic expanse of land and animals around them.
They will also have a "singles get-together" quite soon in the itinerary so you can meet others there as well.
Have a great cruise!

On our last Alaskan cruise my half-sisters (26 & 31) came too. They had a WONDERFUL time and can't wait to go back. Actually, the older one had been the year before with us, so she not only liked it enough to return, but raved about it enough that her sister came too.
I was 26 on my first Alaskan cruise (HAL, 20+ years ago). We've done the Inside Passage 3X since and are planning on going again next year. Something must be right.

Theresa,
I was on the Veendam in July with my son (age 20). There were a few, but not many people around his age. The cruise director told us that there were 126 cruisers under the age of 25, but most of them were under 18. We knew when we booked that this would be the case. He had a great time. He enjoyed talking with everyone he met and attended the singles mixers the first few days although even at this, there were not many people there. One thing he enjoyed was talking with many of the crew members especially the activities staff as many of these folks and the dance staff were in their twenties. He likes this as he got a few "inside" scoops items.
Mostly, he enjoyed the sites, the beauty and all the fun activites that we planned in the ports.
Have a great time.
Mary

Thanks for all your responses. I expected that most people would either be older or younger. But there are so many sights to see and activities to participate in...I can't wait!
