Sky Suite 8058?

I would appreciate any information with respect to the noise issue with this cabin. We are currently trying to decide between a 1A cabin on deck 7 and upgrading to the Sky Suite 8058 on deck 8. We would like to upgrade to more space as we will be on a 14 day itinerary but the noise issue is important to us.

We were in Sky Suite 8058 the week of 7/7/07 and we didn't have any noise from above. Very quiet. We were upgraded to the suite, originally booked a Deluxe on Zenith. It was very nice having the extra space in the bathroom as well as the rest of the cabin. It really spoiled us for future cruises. Hope you enjoy the ship as much as we did.

as we are booked in 8062 next January 5...on Quest which I believe has the identical configuration to Journey.

We stayed in 8050 on the 7/14 cruise to Bermuda...noise in the cabin was not a problem...it was quiet.... the room was a nice size with a great balcony and the bathroom was much larger than expected... we met a couple who had a room on the 7th floor. We visited their room, which was also very nice, but not as comfortable (in room size) as our room. Their bathroom and shower were very small.
The only (minor) complaint we would have about our room would be that it was difficult not to get water on the bathroom floor while taking a shower (there was no curtain or door on the tub-only a partial wall) we just needed to keep a towel on the floor when showering.

Thank you so much. We are definitely looking forward to the cruise and the ship. We earned our Elite Captains Club membership a few cruises ago but have not sailed on a ship smaller than the Mercury/ Galaxy ships so this will be a new experience for us. I am very relieved that "our" cabin did not have any noise from above. We have been on Deck 9 of one of the Millenium class ships before and would not do that again due to the noise issue. As a result we usually book our cabin one deck down. This time in order to have more space we needed to be on Deck 8. Thank you for your reassuring words! Now, if we can just get the shower issue resolved, then it looks as though everything will be in place for us!
