We will be sailing on the Noordam in the fall. Does anyone know if the TV has an audion input, we are traveling with our little one and he usually falls asleep to Classical music played very low. If the TV has an audio input then we can avoid packing the Ipod speakers.

Thank you in advance.

Ahoy!
The new flat screens on the Prisendam did not have front audio inputs. However, they do come with a small, seperate DVD player that you could use for CD playback. I'd probably 'burn' whatever classics he likes on a CD and run it on the DVD player, or pack the pod phones, or do both. Be sure to take him up to the Explorer's Lounge when the classical trio is playing. I think he'd enjoy it. Have a great cruise!

IIRC one of the "radio" stations that plays through the TV is classical music. I don't know if the light from the TV would then be a problem, but it's a thought.

At home I always fall asleep to music. On the Noordam I was able to set the TV to some I liked and put the TV on timer. Worked like a charm. :)

If I had a choice, I'd go for the classical music on the tv.

The musicians in the Explorers Lounge are great, but if you ask me, there's no need to amplify strings. Just my 2 cents ....
