What is the dress code in the Pinnale Grill the first evening on board a Dam ship in Alaska? Have never traveled with HAL, but on other lines the first night was causal or what attire that you traveled in since you hadn't recieved your luggage in your stateroom as of dinner time.
Thanks

You will have received your luggage by dinner time. We have never failed to have it in plenty of time to be fully unpacked.

Dress Code is casual the first night. That means for all of the public areas including Pinnacle.

I will wear a sport coat without a tie. In 14 cruises I've only not had my luggage once by 4PM.

We dressed up when we ate at the Pinnacle the first night and told the rest of the family to dress up also. We, too, have always had our luggage by dinner time, except once on Celebrity.

I have always had my luggage by 3 pm on HAL. I am always unpacked by lifeboat drill at the very latest. But I do believe the first night and last night onboard is casual.

The first night aboard ship is casual.

I have always had my luggage, and am unpacked, by the life boat drill.

On first night I usually wear what I wore in transit to the ship -- slacks and a sports coat (tie optional). I know, that's the Informal Night dress code, but I'd rather not muss up casual night clothing when I've been wearing something as nice or nicer during the day.

We have always had our luggage by lifeboat drill as well. DH wears a sport jacket in the Pinnacle on casual or informal and tux if we are there on a formal night.

He does not always wear a tie, I like the look of a nice collarless knit shirt with his sportcoat - and he's kind enough to oblige me :D

It has been our experience that most men (and women) in the Pinnacle dress up a bit, even if it is casual night.

We ate in the Pinacle last week on our first night.
The ships dress code that night was casual, but we decided that the Pinacle warrented dressing up. Interestingly enough we were the only group dressed up in the restaurant. A quick scan of the room showing varying degrees of casual dress.

Regardless of the day's sugested attire, everyone dresses up for this dinner. On casual nights, most men sported ties and at a minimum a sports jacket. Women do the "resort casual" thing and there is nothing causal about it.

You are going to love the Pinnacle.

As Doone said, you can be unpacked by the time of the lifeboat drill if you are so inclined.
