My mother and I leave this Saturday for our Vancouver pre-cruise overnight stay. On the ship, I usually walk/jog the decks before 8 am with small hand weights. I'll probably be wearing a celery-colored jacket. Or I may be trying to get some sort of exercise in the pool (if they're heated). Doesn't appear that there's a gathering of Cruise Critic members for these trips, so just say hello if you pass by.

Hi dcsam,
We will be joining the ship on August 5 in Seward after a land tour to Fairbanks, Denali, and Anchorage. After the hustle and bustle of sightseeing, we will be ready for relaxing on the ship. This is our first time on Holland America and are so looking forward to it.

Does the 'no-jogging' rule apply to the sports deck jogging track?

We fly in to Vancouver at 6:30 am from LA (no overnight). You won't see me jogging before 8 am, but I'll keep an eye out for you!

I just got back from the Statendam. The lower promenade (wrap around)deck had a sign that said no jogging. It didn't indicate that any jogging was allowed after a certain time. It seemed to apply all day. Maybe the sports deck is different.
