can anyone tell me which cabin numbers of the ss suites are the best location for minimal noise level and verandah privacy?

I can only speak about SS 6060. During our March cruise we really enjoyed this cabin. It's more or less close to mid ships though we really never had any truly rough seas so I can't comment on movement, etc. The cabin was midway down the hall so we were close enough to the elevators but not so close as to get a lot of traffic or be able to hear the elevators (if indeed one can hear them at all). The privacy on the verandah was good, about as good as it can be. All in all it was very, very quiet. A lot of that might be because we just got lucky and had quiet neighbors but I'd say it was the quietest cabin we'd ever had.

We were in 8145 and 8147 aand they were good. The balconies are not especially private because the ship juts out and that cabin balcony has a view of the others but I don't know that any would be any more private.

We are sailing Oosterdam Jan 2dn and have seen some great deals on SS cabins for that sailing. Two online agencies (that we can't mention anymore) are offering SS for $775 per person.
We booked a category S aft for $1300 per person

Hey Iowascruiser, We Will Be On The Same Sail. We Booked An Ss Category, We Switched From Navigation Dick To The Upper Verandah, Assuming We Did Not Want To Hear Pool Noise. :)

We loved our location in 8086. Midway on Navigation Deck between the midships and aft stairtowers, there was little traffic, yet it was quiet and easy to get to the Lido, etc. Absolutely no pool noise or any noise from the Lido Restaurant either.
I would have booked it for Alaska too but I want to see scenery both coming and going (r/t from Seattle) so I booked a corner suite for that - but when I do the Caribbean again I'll definately request 8086.

I'm so happy to read that. We have 8084 on Zui. Sounds like the location is as nice as I hoped it would be.:)
