I've read many recommendations about eating at one of the specialty restaurants the first night out - how do we go about making reservations? Is that something that can be done in advance of boarding? We're aren't Captain's Club members.
Thanks!

Hi Teacher Moni !
Sorry, but the only way you can make advance reservations, is if you are a member of Captains Club. What you should do, is make reservations as soon as you board the ship. Enjoy your Cruise !

Thanks, Andy! Will do - now to decide which one to try! :)

We took a cruise on Infinity last year. I tried to sign up for the Captains Club and got rejected, probably because I do not remember the exact date and we have moved since then, which causes a new e-mail address. I have sent an e-mail, to try and get the exact date. Once I have signed up with the Captain's club how do I make a reservation for dinner? I do not see this as an option, on line, do I call and request? Our cruise is 09/15/07.

We ate in both restaurants and went back a second time for Aqualina. It was for us the better choice. The veal chop I had at Prime C was average. The OssoBucco at Aqualina was incredible! Similar levels of service.
I do recommend taking a piece of advice that was suggested to us: Go to a specialty restaurant the first night at sea. Every cruise I have ever been on, the first night is hectic and disorganized in the main dining room. The specialty restaurant was great that night - and not crowded at all. We went up to the restuarant about 1:00 PM the day we arrived on board and made the reservation that for evening.
By the way, since you are sailing generally to the east that first day, ask for a table in the aft of the dining room and you will have a wonderful view of the sunset past the wake of the ship

Joe,
Thanks for the suggestion about Aqualina - we're definitely going to make a reservation for the first night! Good thing I've been going to the gym a lot so I can enjoy the food (as long as I continue going to the gym while on the cruise, lol)

I called the Captains Club number on the card and made my reservation that way.
