question for Kakalina

I noticed you have sailed Veendam twice in March. I was wondering how you liked the Western itinerary?

Hi Bob: Perhaps it wasn't our favorite itinerary but we did enjoy many aspects of the cruise. Costa Maya was very nice and we enjoyed a really nice snorkel excursion there. The costumed dancers in the main square were colorful. We didn't like the fact that there is no swimming beach there. There is a salt water pool; if I wanted a pool I'd stay on the ship.

Belize is supposed to have the second largest reef in the world but the place they took us to was pretty much dead coral and few fish and lots and lots of trash in the water. We also took a cab ride of the area and it was disappointing.
But hey, that's just our opinion. We love any cruise and have never had a bad one although some are better than others.

kakalina-thanks for your reply and comments. I am not sure this itinerary is the best either. I was wanting to do the S. Carib. cruise on Westerdam next year but that is going full charter with Dave Koz, it just hasn't been announced yet. So, I also thought I would like to do the 10 Maasdam since the itinerary was an extension of the Westerdam but there have been so many negative comments lately about toilet problems and A/C problems that pretty much is pushing me to the Veendam and I hope it won't have any of those issues. I was booking a "B" cabin.
We also make the best of any cruise because it is just great to have the opportunity to do so and enjoy the ship and people.

Like most dreams it was fuzzy, but basically we bumped into each other in Scottsdale and you gave me a big smile and hug.:)

I think my subconcious was reminding me of how we should have invited you to join me when I met Lisa and Colleen in Phoenix recently. (guilt?)

Don't be silly Tinknock, I don't blame you, Lisa is much more fun than we are. I doubt you even knew we lived in Scottsdale ;)

Lisa: November sounds good, we don't have a cruise going on. How did you enjoy your most recent one?

Bob: The Southern caribbean is fantastic. It is one of our favorites. Aruba, Grenada ( oh the spice necklaces there ) , Puerto Rico, Barbados ( Blue MOnkey Beach is so cool ) , and Isla de Margerita ( colorful ). It is a great cruie.

Sean, when we get closer I will start a thread to invite those in the Phoenix area. In the mean time we will have to decided where we can meet. We do have several week to work on this;)
