thank you everyone for your sincere prayers. my husband is doing well.
he has been diagnosed with accute coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure.
Good news. his heart is stronger than it was and they think they have stinted him to the point where he will be okay for awhile. i pray that that while is at least a year. he had bypass surgery 15 years ago and a few months ago they didn't think he could have that done again. however they now feel he might be strong enough to with stand the surgery if the latest stints don't work. his heart has actually gotten better. mmm must be the Lord. thank you Lord.
Just before he went into surgery i was trying to be calm, but inside i was a wreck. but i was reading the Bible and suddenly the most amazing calm came over me. i suddenly was not upset anymore in any way. i just knew my prayers had been answered. it is the most amazing feeling. the doctor prepped my husband for surgery, analyzed the situation and came and spoke with me about the choices and options we had today. i knew without hesitation what choice to make. it even amazed me. if anyone one of you does not think that Jesus Christ is Lord, think again.
this is not the first time he has answered my prayers in an unblieveable way.
Both my husband and I have been looking forward to our cruise on the Zuiderdam, Aug 14th. But this year we have enhanced the trip by a special day before and two days after the cruise. we are staying in two amazing hotels. yes we are breaking the bank, but after this year, we are going for it.
Again i will tell you, i:D can't wait for our vacation and i can't even imagine how much my husband is looking forward to it.
but all of you have enhanced this vacation. the wonderful info that is here has helped with our plans. couldn't have done it without all of you.
when i didn't think of this, you told me that.
thank you, thank you, thank you
post it, even if it seems unimportant to someone else, it is important to someone.
May God richly bless each and everyone one of you.

It's so good to hear from you. I was hoping you would be able to post this evening. I am so thankful all went well, and thank God for the peace He has given you. ALL GLORY TO GOD! Thank you for sharing. Your testimony of God's goodness has blessed me this evening.
Give Tom a big hug from all his board buddies and tell him we are praying for quick recovery with no complications. What a celebration you all are going to have on your cruise next month.
Love and prayers,

This is wonderful. And it's good that you're planning to go ahead with your cruise. On one of our cruises we met a lady who was solo. She and her hubby had planned to cruise "some day" but didn't. She was cruising in his memory and wishing they had cruised together while they had the opportunity. Go for it while you're blessed with the ability to do it.

I thank all of you so much. I feel such relief tonight. They actually asked me for my husband's living will this time the night before surgery. That really freaked me out.
I have read the blender newspaper and am very happy that Ziggy7 is going to leave the Z in tact. I will be looking around for a few left over chickens, casino chips from skeet shooting, George Foreman grills, the pool, very seriously, cabins that are larger than usual and some very confused employees, to name a few.
Can't wait to go. Oh by the way. If you suddenly hear a news story about a lunatic woman who wouldn't leave the ship, well, you'll feel a little better. You'll know who she is.
Love you guys

glad to hear your husband is doing well. My son in law had open heart surgary in Alanta,GA to repair a hole in his heart 2 weeks ago. He got home today and is doing so much better. sometimes its hard to believe but I firmly believe in the power of prayer. I hope to get to meet both of you on our Zuiderdam cruise 8-14

We are sending up our prayers of thanks and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Tammar,
I hope your husband recovers quickly. MY prayers are with you and him. I am leaving on the Zuiderdam this weekend (07/31/04). Have you heard of the renewal of vows aboard the ship Zuiderdam? I already signed up and paid (ahead of time) for a renewal of vows for my husband and me. It is our 20th anniversary, and I am surprising him with this special treat. The cost is only $99 without a Pinnacle dinner for two (with the dinner, it is $129). It includes a renewal of vows, flowers in the cabin, a photo in a special holder with the ceremonial certificate, and a special after-ceremony party with snacks and drinks with the captain. I would think it would be a wonderful time to renew your vows with your husband, especially after all you and him have been through. The number is 1-800-541-1576. I also heard you can request to have to renewal of vows done at Half Moon Cay. This is only a suggestion, but I have heard (and hope) it is a"memorable" experience.:) ;) :) ;)

Tammar,
It's great that your husband is doing so well. I pray for his continued improvement.
When you have to go through times like this, keep in mind what James had to say about trials and tribulations and, as difficult as it may be, he said we should be thankful for them.

Tammar-
Congratulations on the great news!!! As one that was in congestive heart failure with a heart 3x what it was supposed to be, I can tell you that the heart can and does improve! Mine is now within "normal parameters " again 4 years later and I swear the best "medicine" I have had is my cruising  (although my cardiologist might disagree:eek: )
Congratulations and I recommend a steady diet of Cruises to ensue your hubby's recovery!

Say ... if your doctor will acknowledge the positive health benefits of taking a relaxing cruise, maybe he/she will write a prescription. That way, you can claim it on your tax return! They do it for swimming pools/spas ... why not a cruise? :)

Tammar,
I shall continue to pray for you, for your husband, and for the doctors and nurses and technicians who -- along with you -- care for him. May his recovery be swift, and may he improve greatly. Have a GREAT and relaxing cruise!

Tammar, I looked for your news until I had to sign off last night. Then I had to be gone all day and wondering how you and your husband were doing. I am so happy that you came through so well and I am so thrilled that you have such a wonderful vacation to look forward to.
So my prayers continue for you both. Obviously none of this is easy. Be sure to take care of yourself as much as you care for him. May God watch over you both and walk with you always.
